Hello everyone! My name is Saloni and I’m the OAFBLA secretary! One thing I absolutely love about FBLA is how we can explore different aspects of business through competition. One piece of advice: start studying early and study hard!

Hello Oxford! My name is Raj Parekh, and I am honored to be serving as one your FBLA President for this school year! FBLA is one of the most unique and valuable experiences of my highschool career, and I can’t wait for you to enhance your business leadership skills and create meaningful relationships/memories! My advice to anyone new to FBLA is to ask questions and for help when needed (we don’t bite), in order to bolster your knowledge and develop bonds within the FBLA family!

Hello Everyone! My name is Shukan, and I’m this years treasurer! One thing I love about FBLA is how versatile the club is. There is always an event or a competition for anyone regardless of what job field they want to pursue. My advice to new FBLA members is to attend Section Conference because it is the best FBLA event of the year. Not only do you get to compete but you also get closer to the people in FBLA and participate in a lot of fun activities.

Hey everyone! My name is Grant, and I’m one of the VPs of Competitive Events. Ever since I joined FBLA in eighth grade, I have loved the opportunity to compete in events with my friends and being a part of an inclusive group that all have the same goal to win! My advice would be to participate in all of the activities that FBLA has to offer beyond Section Conference; you’ll learn a lot of valuable information and get closer with the FBLA family :D

Hi everyone! I’m Jane, one of the VPs of Competitive Events, and I love the variety of opportunities offered through FBLA from competitions to different community projects. My advice to any new FBLA members is to not be afraid to participate in the competitions and go out of your comfort zones!

Hey everyone! I’m Catherine, VP of Membership, and I can’t wait to talk to all of you! What I love about FBLA is how everyone can join and benefit from the club despite their preferences - FBLA encompasses and applies to so many different careers. My most important piece of advice is to make sure that you take as many opportunities as given to you by FBLA - you never know what could happen!

Hey, my name’s Ethan, and I’m the co-VP of Chapter Projects. I’ve been an active member of FBLA since 7th grade. I fell in love with FBLA for the conferences, the experiences, and the friends you make along the way. My advice for you would be to approach each new experience with an open mind. If you believe that a new experience will have something good to offer, you’ll always find it.

Hi everyone, my name is Leann and I am a co-vp of Chapter Projects. I’ve been in FBLA since 7th grade and each year it only gets better and more fun. Something I love about FBLA is getting to interact with new people during meetings and at Section. A piece of advice I would give is to choose topics for section conference that you are interested in since it can help you later on in life. I’m excited to see everyone in person as soon as it is safe!

One thing I love about FBLA is that you get to connect and network with other individuals who have similar goals to you. One piece of advice I have is to network with other individuals at conferences. It can be scary approaching someone at first, but starting a simple conversation really helps (you can learn a lot)!

One aspect that I love about FBLA is the ability to meet new people from different areas who I would not be able to connect with outside of FBLA. Some advice for those wishing to compete this year is to start studying for your event as early as possible.

Hi, my name is Arvind and I will be serving as a Vice President of Special Projects along with Yash this year. What I love about FBLA is that it truly goes beyond just a competition, and focuses on networking, interaction and building connections. One piece of advice I would have is to not be intimidated by the competition and feeling afraid of losing. No one wins on their first try, but that first step you put in along with hard work will definitely lead to success!

Even though I joined FBLA in my sophomore year, I loved learning about business entrepreneurship and being involved in my community. One tip for new FBLA members is to NOT procrastinate on studying for competitions! I can’t wait to see everyone soon!

Hi, my name is Dawn and I am on our JEO team! This is only my second year in FBLA, however I was drawn to the atmosphere OA FBLA inhabits. FBLA is a supportive club providing opportunities to pioneer an interest in business. While our club offers assistance, we also encourage individual motivations. As a relatively new member myself, I would ask that our brand new members engage with the club as much as they can, before they lose sight of personal goals (learn from my mistakes last year!!)

Hi! My name is Grishma, and I will be the Junior High Director for 2020-21 school year. Something I love about FBLA is that it allows you to meet upperclassmen who have common interests with you. I’ve met so many amazing people in the two years of FBLA that I admire. I also love that FBLA is not a hardcore club about business; there are many other skills you can acquire by going to conferences or just networking in general. A piece of advice I have for incoming FBLA members is to attend all meetings! They matter more than you think and give people an opportunity to meet and get to know other club members better!
