A: Yes, FBLA helps build general life skills and allows students to grow their leadership and communication skills, such as how to write resumes and work in a professional setting. Additionally, we have many health-related and STEM-related competitive events which anyone can participate in to learn new things and get awards! FBLA will help you prepare for any proffesional setting whether it be career based or college based.
A: First, attend all FBLA-hosted meetings and make FBLA a priority. And, make sure to compete in many competitions and partake in many projects and volunteering opportunities. Last, apply to be a part of the office board so you can help other club members, organize events, and make a difference in Oxford FBLA.
A: FBLA is different from other business organizations and clubs in the following ways:
1. FBLA offers a wide variety of business topics and competitions, for students to test their knowledge, such as: entrepreneurship, marketing, global business, business technology, business math, economics, etc.
2. FBLA focuses on base knowledge and proficiency of all business topics. While other business clubs and organizations may focus on one area of the business world such as marketing, FBLA members can learn about all facets of busines.
3. FBLA provides focus to technical careers as well. Students can learn and develop proficiency in topics such as spreadsheet applications, business communication, accounting, business math, and community service.
4. FBLA has a variety of options for involvement outside of just competitions. As a member, one can participate in chapter and individual projects to gain recognition, gain experience, and help the community.
